What is kitsch? Merriman-Webster describes it as 'something that appeals to lowbrow taste and is often low quality'. This project focused on the ideas of kitsch and art. Should it be preserved or condemned? The museum serves as an introduction to kitsch by allowing the visitor to experience for stages of understanding: the unknown, discovery, clarity, and reflection. The museum is divided into these four sections and the level of understanding is reflected in the opacity of each section. To travel to another section, the visitor must travel through the 'reflective' section of the museum or an overlapping transitional space.
